HEALTHY SNACKS AND WEAKNESSES

I’m sure we all try to be good and make healthy food choices most of the time. I love red fruits, especially cherries, grapes and strawberries and can’t wait for them to come into season. My favourite breakfast treat is advocado on toast, with the red fruits on the side. Apart from anything else, the colours make me happy. My weakness is chocolate and I love eating Mr Mitchell’s pizza whenever he makes it, even though I know all that oil and cheese is not very good for me. So, what is your favourite healthy snack and what is your weakness?

PILBARA PANORAMAS

oliveroutcruising2 - Copy (2)

We certainly live in a special part of Australia and after a while, I guess you take a lot of what you see for granted. The Dampier Archipelago and Karijini National Park offer spectacular scenery but for me, the most special moments were when were tracking Pilbara Olive Pythons out on the Burrup on clear nights with a full moon in that rugged, ancient landscape and we would come across Oliver or Gypsy out ‘cruising’. It would simply take my breath away!

So tell me about your special places and/or moments in this beautiful country we call the Pilbara.

WHICH IS YOUR STRONGEST SENSE?

Smallsenses2

I start salivating when I smell the pizza sauce simmering on top of the stove, let alone when the finished product is put in front of me. But reading and listening to music are such an important part of my life too. I’d find it hard to say which sense is the strongest  but if I had to choose, I guess I’d say my sense of hearing. If I wake during the night, my mind instantly starts playing music, which is nice but can be a little annoying at times, especially if it keeps me from getting back to sleep!

So tell me, which of your senses do you think is the strongest or most important and why?

WHICH IS YOUR FAVOURITE DINOSAUR?

Sue2

I feel quite honoured that the biggest, most complete and best preserved fossil ever discovered is named ‘Sue’ and is on display at the Field Museum in Chicago, USA. Sue is a T-Rex named after the woman who uncovered her in the Black Hills of Dakota, Sue Hendrickson. They’re not actually sure whether Sue was female or male but she/he would have been a formidable predator in her time, the Cretaceous Period.

I want you to tell me which is your favourite dinosaur and give me reasons for your choice.
